“Use hard work to fulfill the oath of youth”
“Brother Liu is here? Come in and sit down quickly!” Ahheniyaz Matiniyaz saw Liu Chuncheng and enthusiastically stepped forward to hold his hand. Ahe Niazi was the first villager Liu Chuncheng met when he volunteered for work.
In August 2019, when 23-year-old Liu Chuncheng heard the call to “go to the west, to the grassroots, to the inland and to the places where the people need it most,” he was full of enthusiasm. In response to the call of the party and the country, it was expected to “use a short time of a year to do something unforgettable in a lifetime”Jamaica Sugar Daddy , came from Tianjin to Alar City, the First Division of the Xinjiang Childbirth Support Corps, and worked in Hailekekuduk Village, Tokayi Township.
The first home visit was to Ahhenyazi’s house. “I was so nervous at the time that I didn’t even know what to say when I walked in.” Liu Chunqing watched what Su Xiaojie, the then deputy captain of the village’s “Visiting Huiju” task force, who was visiting the village all the way, was doing, “He is my master, and also The mentor who led my volunteer service work and career in the west. “With Su Xiaojie, he learned little by little how to do mass work, How to help the masses solve difficulties and how to mediate disputes…
Liu Chuncheng’s main task is to assist the village team party branch secretary to do a good job in party building. In the party-building inspection of various village teams in Tuokayi Township at the end of 2019, his village team won first place. He also helped the masses solve many difficulties during the visit. When visiting households, the most common problem reported by the villagers was the problem of street lights. Liu Chuncheng also understood it deeply: “There are only lights after a long distance, and some of them are still broken. “Everyone didn’t come out at night.” Liu Chuncheng reported the problem to the “Famous Huiju” task force, which invested 200,000 yuan to install 42 street lights in the village. “The village is very lively now in the morning. Every time his service expires, Liu Chuncheng will write a request to extend his service. This year is already the third year, and his working address has also been changed from the village to the countryside. “I feel that life must move forward step by step, and each step will have different surprises. Along the way, I have never regretted my choice. I will contribute my meager strength to the construction of the western region and use my struggle to Fulfill the oath of youth,” Liu Chuncheng said.
Cui Jiaxin, a master’s student at Central China Normal University:
“I want to help more children get out of the mountains”
From Chibi, Hubei to Enshi, and then to Guizhou, 24-year-old Cui Jiaxin has already supported education four times this year. Especially after taking root in Yuqing, Guizhou for one year, she has a deeper understanding of the word “support education”: “Love is the root and destination of education. I am honored that I can practice it while comprehending it.”
Cui Jiaxin is a master’s student at Central China Normal University. When talking about volunteer teaching, she bluntly said that she was influenced by her teachers: “Since I was a child, my teachers have been like a light, guiding me. I also have a dream of being a teacher and want to help more people.”
In 2017, Cui Jiaxin, who was still an undergraduate at the time, became a preparatory party member. In order to be able to train at the grassroots level, she used her winter vacation to teach in Chibi and Enshi. During this period, she stayed with her classmates in villagers’ homes and built a floor for exhibitions in government officesJamaica Sugar and even slept in a sleeping bag. Although she had a lot of fun, Cui Jiaxin still persisted and wanted to take a further step to challenge herself.
In August 2019, as a member of the 21st graduate education support group of Chinese Youth Volunteers, Cui Jiaxin decided to set foot on the hot land of Guizhou and went to other mountains in Yuqing County, Zunyi City In middle schools, a one-year teaching program was launched.
“Before coming, the school specially organized training in advance, involving education and teaching, political theory, administrative management, safety education, etc. I also signed up for meals and participated in the national teaching skills “Competition, competition as training.” Although she had made special preparations, Cui Jiaxin was still a little unprepared when she was assigned to teach English when she first arrived at Tashan Middle School. “I majored in physics, and now I have to change my position immediately and take charge of three classes of 189.” There are English classes for two children, and one of them is a sports specialty class. The span is actually a bit big.”
Tashan Middle School is an independent high school in Yuqing County. Build the application. Due to the weak teaching staff and poor quality of student tools, children here generally have poor English proficiency.
“In the first monthly exam, the English scores of the three classes were at the bottom, which really gave me a chance to win.” Seeing the situation of the children in front of her, Cui Jiaxin understood the school The intention of giving up, “What is the school lacking, let you teach it, this is the meaning of supporting education. If you can use one year of youth to achieve these children, it will be worth the hardship and tiredness!”
Cui Jiaxin immediately contacted her family and sent her previous English notes and teaching materials. She also used video learning to enrich teaching methods and internal affairs, and worked hard to make the classroom lively and interesting. “There are at least 3 classes a day, either in class or lesson preparation., often busy until early morning. ”
I saw that the children’s learning had just improved, but the sudden epidemic disrupted the plan. Fortunately, these children were very successful and their English scores improved steadily. During the final test, 3 classes They are all at the forefront of similar classes, and Cui Jiaxin is so excited that in addition to English teaching, Cui Jiaxin also expands her work as a volunteer teacher and strives to provide more services for the children. The ‘Huabo School’ was established in the relocation site for poverty alleviation and provided a variety of Jamaicans Escort activities for more than 70 left-behind children. Create a warm and happy growing environment. “Cui Jiaxin introduced that in order to help children broaden their horizons, she also organized and planned two “Building Dreams at Huada University and Walking with Love” charity visiting program, raising a total of nearly 200,000 yuan in donations and helping 72 mountain children out of the New Year. Yeshan, visiting Wuhan, injecting motivation into their growth.
Cui Jiaxin still remembers that a boy in the class once dropped out of school to work because of poor grades, and she advised more than half of them. Months later, he regained his confidence and returned to school. “It was necessary to not only study classroom teaching, but also to track and care about the psychological changes of the children. Every child has his shining point, and no one can be missing on the road to learning. ” Cui Jiaxin said.
“Until now, there is Yu Qing’s chili sauce in the university dormitory. I was not used to eating it at all before, but now I am a little uncomfortable not eating it. Now, Cui Jiaxin, who has long since expired as a teacher, is still thinking about the children in Guizhou, “I have been keeping in contact with them, and I plan to go to Yuqing again this year. ”
Because of this rare experience, Cui Jiaxin has become clearer about future plans: “Teachers are my first goal. I want to help more children get out of the mountains. Let them be like themselves and bravely chase their dreams. ”
